Week: May 10 - 16

AP Testing Week 2. At this point, I have gained sufficient momentum such that another AP test doesn't feel like much. Monday was the AP Bio test. The content covered itself seems quite extensive. But I've heard many encouraging things about the way this test is graded. Things about people leaving whole FRQs blank and walking away with 5's. My Stanford Admit comrade left a whole FRQ blank and walked away confidently. So I'm looking up on this one. Econ AP wasn't bad either. They give you a ton of time. On the last FRQ, we all thought of that little trick, we were just unsure of what the graders wanted us to show;; -__- I hope it isn't graded too harshly. So this year I ended up taking 6 APs. It may seem like a lot, but for a Beckman student with sufficient motivation, no sports, and experience from last year, it is very very do-able and actually something I recommend. Make the most of your public school education, no?

But enough of all the academic dullness. It was prom week! Overall a fine experience (and an expensive one keke). Oh, and I still need to get those pictures from Joyce... That meanie said I suck at posing. I'll agree that I haven't really got that clear of an idea of what I'm supposed to do, but I don't think I was that bad. Oh well, learning experience right? D: However it went, I hope everybody else had a good time. If nothing else, I got to sing "I believe" with KLee at Plush ㅋㅋ. I have confirmed, however, that I have no natural singing/dancing talent though, so some useful skills to work on;;

Portal for free download on Steam! It's been a while since I've played through a game. Typically, I only play games that are really well reviewed since they take so much time investment to play. I must say, I was no disappointed in Portal at all. It made me feel smarter than I really was, completing those levels. Such style! Such brilliance! Such beauty!

Got my PC Laptop in the mail. Great machine! Not a mac!

Matt returned from USC. On Friday, one of his friends spent the night over here. Its feeling like back-in-the-day. I walked over to Peters Canyon Elementary with Jesse, and found Nicole there-- just so happens it was the Pioneer Days Carnival. Elementary school... good times :) Everything looked so small. Speed closes distances. Its interesting because back in the day, I would ride my scooter or bike to elementary school. Then in middle school, I'd have to go around half a mile further to get to school. Add 2 or 3 miles for high school. Suppose I went to UCI, it'd be like another 7 miles to get to school. Symbolic adding of distance? Coincidence? I think not!
