Splendid Day

Today was pretty interesting.

Following a short orthodontist appointment (checking on retainers... lol) I had brunch with Rafe-- friend from the beginning of time (I don't remember anything before elementary school).

Then I took a nap.

And then I hung out and did homework with Korean friends.

I got frozen pizza for dinner and played Qwirkle with my ma and pa.

And then I made a cute asian book cover for my Chinese Phrasebook! :D

Translates to "Very Cute Chinese Book"; Good fun! :P

My parents got me a Digitech RP500 multi-effects processor for Christmas. I don't know much electric stuff, but so far its really cool (even though I don't know how to use it...) I didn't ask for something this nice--- people are so generous sometimes :O

Biking in the rain is fun

The last time I biked in the rain was probably in middle school. Back then I had glasses but didn't really wear them. Today while I was biking, I realized that windows and glasses tend to obstruct visibility when rained on (duh). Well thank goodness for long asian people hair, because I could just look over my rained-on glasses and see fine while my hair filtered out the rain. It would be interesting to wear flight googles or something.

So I hung out at Barnes and Nobles for way too long today. It was fun and educational though-- lots of books to read (obviously). I colored a Christmas card I drew earlier:

Not stellar, but fun to make.

In other news, related rates problems for calculus are a bit hard... ...but also quite interesting to do. Chem is being difficult to. Those math and science courses! Aiya!

Beach Photos and Other Stuff

My pop and I went to the beach to ride our bikes. Unfortunately, Crystal Cove (where we were going) was closed due to rain, but we got to hang around the beach a little.

So far, winter break is tasty. Its been pretty productive though. I made a calendar with stuff I have to do and so far have done a pretty good job following it. I suppose spreading out the work will be more beneficial and less painful in the long run than procrastinating till the end... ...but nobody wants to hear about homework on winter break so I'll stop talking about that :P
